Economic downturn and the first black President are enough reasons to drive those of us on the right into a homegrown band of terrorists, with a bunch of disgruntled Iraqi war veterans to lead us in our fight to overthrow the government. Or so Obama thinks. He's already instructed Missouri law enforcement officials to read what kind of
bumper stickers your putting on your car.

This is no different than any DHS report that has come out in the past (including disgruntled war Vets) A left wing report was also put out earlier with little to no fanfare.
But now since Obama came into office it's a big deal for folks on the right.
This report has been in the works for a year now. The person who wrote this worked under Bush and now Obama.
It's a report by one individual not an administrative move by Obama or Bush in the past. It's a recommendation by this DHS analyst.
If it wasn't, it would never had been declassified and you would not know anything about it.
@ Flavor C ... please note the links that i provided and you will see that the critics of this report note that in going after right-wingers this report can provide no specifics or actual facts to back up their claims against right-wingers, only theory, speculation, and pure conjecture. on the other hand they can point to actual facts, people, places, and names when reporting on left-wing extremeists. just because your opposed to the political ideology and policies of the government and the political party that controls DC should not make you an "extremists". but if you take actual violent action aginst your goverment leaders, then yes, you should be considered an extremeists.
You are absolutely right Stormin, but like I said this report has been in the works for a year now, not something that was written in the the past couple of months.
Yes this analyst needs to be more specific in who exactly as far as groups are becoming stronger or dangerous. You yourself can't deny the reports on the rise in memberships in groups like the KKK and militia groups who both are labeled as right-wing.
But to say Obama is declaring war on conservatives is a stretch. This is not an Obama appointee but a career long analyst.
Neither the Left-wing or Right-wing reports indicate a government initiative or action being implemented..........it's a report by a DHS worker.
THE JOB OF THE DHS IS TO PREVENT DOMESTIC TERRORIST ATTACKS NOT WAIT FOR THEM TO HAPPEN AND THEN TAKE ACTION.
I DO BELIEVE REFERRING TO SOLDIERS AS POSSIBLE FUTURE EXTREMIST WITHOUT PROVE IS A INSULT AND SLAP IN THE FACE OF OUR BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN. BUT AGAIN I DO NOT THINK THIS IS SOME WAR ON CONSERVATIVES.
Just heard from FOX News that the report was done under the Bush Administration but was released now.
So if Fox is saying so it must be true right?
The right is not the only ones coming out against this, read my post. This should not have been released. It is not a report on activity because it does not report any actual activity. The report released on the left listed actual domestic terrorist organizations, this did not. It is nothing short of an attack of the freedom of speech of people on the right. If it was completed under Bush, why wasn't it released until early April? With the one on left wing groups? This could have been released next year and it would not have been the fault of the Obama administration. Read the report, I did.
@ Flavor C ... a couple of observations. first, i seem to recall a particular mantra of the left when the economy tanked under Bush. it went something like "if it happens while your President, then it's entirely your fault". those of us on the right who tried to argue that our current economic woes were the direct result of Carter and Clinton forcing banks to make bad loans to people who the banks knew weren't able to pay the loans back were told that that didn't matter. the ticking Carter/Clinton timebomb exploded while Bush was President, therefore the whole thing is his fault. remember that? in light of that, don't try to put this off on Bush then. the report was released under Obama's watch, which means he signed off on it, which means he agrees with it, which means it speaks for him (not the previous administration), therefore it's TOTALLY his report, not Bush's.
secondly, Janet Napolitano seems to be taking full credit for what's in this report and not backing down from it. she's not pointing the finger of blame at Bush. and it seems that other democrats are totally blasting her too for this report, and not Bush.
@ Chuck ... yes, i too saw who else was livid about this report and from what i read about him he's not some middle-of-the-democrat.
Wanna play it it like that, cool I can handle it then :)
@ Flavor C ... i know you wouldn't want me to be less then honest with you just like your always honest and straight forward with me. i always love our back and forth discussions. btw, did you make it to your tea party? if so, how was it. have a good night!
