Why I hate "The View", pt. 2

"Clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you."
-Stealers Wheel (1972)

"BAGHDAD (AP) — The United States is now winning the war that two years ago seemed lost.

Limited, sometimes sharp fighting and periodic terrorist bombings in Iraq are likely to continue, possibly for years. But the Iraqi government and the U.S. now are able to shift focus from mainly combat to mainly building the fragile beginnings of peace — a transition that many found almost unthinkable as recently as one year ago.

Despite the occasional bursts of violence, Iraq has reached the point where the insurgents, who once controlled whole cities, no longer have the clout to threaten the viability of the central government.

That does not mean the war has ended or that U.S. troops have no role in Iraq. It means the combat phase finally is ending, years past the time when President Bush optimistically declared it had. The new phase focuses on training the Iraqi army and police, restraining the flow of illicit weaponry from Iran, supporting closer links between Baghdad and local governments, pushing the integration of former insurgents into legitimate government jobs and assisting in rebuilding the economy.

Scattered battles go on, especially against al-Qaida holdouts north of Baghdad. But organized resistance, with the steady drumbeat of bombings, kidnappings, assassinations and ambushes that once rocked the capital daily, has all but ceased."

Novack ill, liberals celebrate

News of syndicated conservative columnist Robert Novack's illness sent liberals into the streets dancing with joy.

Update:

Obamaisms, pt. 4

Has no idea what it is he's trying to say and then tries to blame it on a crowd of supporters who aren't saying a thing to him.

The gospel of Obama

Here's a great parody of how Barak Obama is being portrayed to the world by the mainstream media.

Parlez-vous francais?

Obama's in France now and he still refuses to speak the native language. I sure do hate being lectured too about my ignorance of other foreign languages by someone who can only say "merci beaucoup".

Nanny state

Honestly folks, how did we ever survive our childhoods without the government to save us?

Eyeblast TV

Sprechen ze Deutsche?

I cannot begin to tell you how embarrased I am that this "ugly American" goes to Germany and delivers a speech in Berlin in English. Isn't this the man who said he was embarresed of Americans who go to Europe and all they can say is "merci beaucoup"?

"You know, it's embarrassing, it's embarrassing when -- when, uh, Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe, and all we can say is, "Merci beaucoup."

If he were a man who practices what he preaches he should have given the same speech again in German.

How liberals love

Just a snapshot of how the far-left feels about our country and our men and women in uniform.

I get a kick as to how fast Alan Colmes (God love him) wants to jump in and distance himself and his fellow liberals from these kooks. You can tell he's so embarrassed by it and wants to make it known that he is by no means associated with these kind of left-wing wackos, but unfortunately for him they seem to be the ones that the elected officials in DC seem to cater too and promote.

Matthews: Vote like a little child

Suspending the realities of the world and putting my mind back to the way I use to think when I was a little child is about the only way I would consider voting for Obama.

Hey! Where are all you FOX haters at who want to argue that FOX is so in the tank for the right-wing? How about talking about the Obama orgy that's going on over there at MSNBC.

Thanks to Hot Air.

The disappointing 2008 hurricane season

Tropical Storm Dolly, which could become a hurricane, is predicted to hit somewhere on the South Texas coast on Wednesday.

In my opinion, the Global Warming alarmists have got to be extremely disappointed in this years hurricane season. Weren't we suppose to be hit by at least a half-dozen hurricanes by now, and yet here it is nearly August and Mother Nature hasn't given us one good hurricane yet.

Karadzic: Why so long?

I love how the world and the Democrats like to bash President Bush as a failure because after 6 years he still hasn't been able to kill or capture Osama Bin Laden but yet theres no criticism as to how long it took to capture Radovan Karadzic. This man has been a fugitive of the law for well over ten years, living and practicing medicine in plain sight.

Barack Obama owns the New York Times

Statement from the New York Times as to why they rejected Sen. McCains op-ed piece:

"In an e-mail to the McCain campaign, Opinion Page Editor David Shipley said he could not accept the piece as written, but would be "pleased, though, to look at another draft."

"Let me suggest an approach," he wrote Friday. "The Obama piece worked for me because it offered new information (it appeared before his speech); while Senator Obama discussed Senator McCain, he also went into detail about his own plans. It would be terrific to have an article from Senator McCain that mirrors Senator Obama's piece."

Wesley Clarks war buddy arrested

"BELGRADE (Reuters) - Bosnian Serb wartime president Radovan Karadzic, one of the world's most wanted men for his part in civilian massacres, was arrested on Monday, Serbian President Boris Tadic's office said.

Government sources said he had been under surveillance for several weeks, after a tip-off from a foreign intelligence service. In Sarajevo, scene of a bloody 43-month siege at the hands of Karadzic's Belgrade-backed forces, Croats and Bosnian Muslims streamed onto the streets to celebrate.

The arrest of Karadzic and other indicted war criminals, is one of the main conditions of Serbian progress towards European Union (EU) membership.

Richard Holbrooke, former U.S. assistant secretary of state for Europe who negotiated the 1995 Dayton accords that ended the war in Bosnia, welcomed his capture, describing him as the Osama bin Laden of Europe, "a real, true architect of mass murder."

I'm sure Wesley Clark will cry himself to sleep tonight.

Why I hate "The View"

If I was an intelligent educated woman, or even an un-educated woman with a lot of common sense, this show would infuriate the hell out of me.

Asian babe of the week ... 07/21/08

Obamaisms, pt. 3

Barack Obama plans to be President for the next "8 to 10 years". This just occured today so it qualifies as Breaking News.

Obamaisms, pt. 2

He's visited 57 states, 1 left to go, and he couldn't visit Alaska and Hawaii. So that really means that Obama thinks that the U.S. is comprised of 60 states.

Now I know that he really meant to say 47. But do you think that the media would allow President Bush to get away with this one?

Whichever way the wind blows

Guess what Obama fans, he promised you immediate troop withdrawl when elected. It ain't gonna happen. He's going to switch his position on that promise just like he has on so many other issues and statements concerning Iraq.

Pelosi's position on drilling

Just wanted you to know how the Dems feel about using our own resources. By the way, the national average for the price of a gallon of gas is $4.11. I'm sure that makes you happy.

Practice what you preach

Here's a great video of Al Gore's clueless followers that exposes the hypocrisy of them and their leader.

Let's not forget Al Gore's own personal energy consumption use.

Naturally that is the defence of this cartoons creator Barry Blitt. He claims that he was just drawing what he perceived to be the right-wings view of Barack Obama.

The "nut" cutter

Jesse Jackson has another "hymietown" moment. It makes you wonder what kind of views and opinions Jesse Jackson really has when he's all alone and not in front of a microphone.

Jackson apologizes for 'crude' Obama remarks

Democrats FISA hypocrisy

And if President Clinton changed the FISA laws so that it would make it easier for him to fight domestic spying, then good for him. Now, who says Republicans and Democrats can't agree.

The racist baby test

British tax dollars at work. I wonder how soon this will be happening here in America.

"Toddlers who turn their noses up at spicy food from overseas could be branded racists by a Government-sponsored agency.

The National Children's Bureau, which receives £12 million a year, mainly from Government funded organisations, has issued guidance to play leaders and nursery teachers advising them to be alert for racist incidents among youngsters in their care.

This could include a child of as young as three who says "yuk" in response to being served unfamiliar foreign food.

The guidance by the NCB is designed to draw attention to potentially-racist attitudes in youngsters from a young age.

It alerts playgroup leaders that even babies can not be ignored in the drive to root out prejudice as they can "recognise different people in their lives".

The 366-page guide for staff in charge of pre-school children, called Young Children and Racial Justice, warns: "Racist incidents among children in early years settings tend to be around name-calling, casual thoughtless comments and peer group relationships."

It advises nursery teachers to be on the alert for childish abuse such as: "blackie", "Pakis", "those people" or "they smell".

The guide goes on to warn that children might also "react negatively to a culinary tradition other than their own by saying 'yuk'".

Staff are told: "No racist incident should be ignored. When there is a clear racist incident, it is necessary to be specific in condemning the action."

I guess all my life I've been harbouring a racist attitude toward Asians since I've never had much of a fondness for steamed rice.

Bravo Zulu

Here is this soldiers story:

"On Easter Sunday this ex-cheerleader,age 19, in the picture was watching a road that lead to a NATO military base when she observed a man digging by the road. She engaged the target, and she shot him. Turned out he was a bomb maker for the Taliban and he was burying an IED that was to be detonated when a US patrol walked by 30 minutes later. It would have certainly killed and wounded several soldiers.

The interesting fact of this story is the shot was measured at 725 yards. She shot him as he was bent over burying the bomb. The shot struck him in the butt and into the bomb which detonated. He was blown to pieces.

The Air Force made a motivational poster of her. Her name is Kimmy. To Her we say, HOO-AH! Thanks for your service!"

Celebrating the 4th in Samarra, Iraq

Our Declaration of Independence

I wish I would have posted this yesterday but I just discovered it this morning, and it is still officially the 4th of July weekend. It is the great patriotic commercial that FOX Sports aired just prior to Super Bowl 42 on Feb. 3, 2008.

1,215 troops reenlist in Baghdad

Here's a story the mainstream media won't tell you about. On Independence Day over in Iraq 1,215 troops raised their right hand and swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. What's amazing to me about this is that every single one of these men and women know that by choosing to stay serving in the Armed Forces of this great country means that they will also be spending many more days and nights over in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting for and possibly dying for the liberty and freedom of Iraqi and Afghan men, women, and children. May God Bless them all and my thanks to each and every one of them.

Silencing good news from Iraq

The Democrats and their propaganda wing over at ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and PBS are doing their best to keep this kind of news quiet.

Stop offending me!

Scottish Muslims have got their panties all up in a wad over this postcard showing a little puppy.

"Muslims in the Scottish district of Tayside are outraged by the appearance of a wide-eyed, 6-week-old puppy on postcards distributed by the local police force, according to the Daily Mail.

Postcards showing police dog-in-training Rebel, a German shepherd born in early December, are causing a furor among the region’s Muslims who believe dogs are "ritually unclean," the Daily Mail reports.

The cute cards were meant to notify locals of a new telephone number for non-emergency phone calls but instead have become a flashpoint for a clash of cultures. Shopkeepers are refusing to display the offending ad and a Dundee city councilor is calling for an investigation."

Do you want to know what offends me? Hijacking 4 planes and crashing them into the World Trade Towers, the Pentagon, and a rural field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 innocent lives in a single day is what offends me. Since that day I don't really give a crap as to what offends Muslims.

Harry Reid (D-NV): "Coal makes us sick"

Really Harry? Coal makes us sick? You have some sort of medical documentation to back up that claim. Let's face it folks, the Dems are dancing in the streets over high oil and gas prices and they are taking great pleasure in your suffering at the pumps. Don't look to these idiots for solutions to our energy needs. The only solution is to kick the Dems out and begin to DRILL HERE, DRILL NOW, PAY LESS!
