MSNBC attempts to equate Easter worshippers to the KKK

MSNBC is trying to attempt to equate Christians celebrating Easter Sunday to members of the Ku Klux Klan. There running the above picture on their Facebook homepage as part of their Easter celebrations from around the world. This happens to be the very last picture of the 78 pictures posted. Looks a lot like a KKK member standing in front of a crucifix. It isn't until you get to the story that you discover that it is actually a participant of an Easter observance in Norther Spain. One of the commenter's to this photo says that it is a religious order known as the Order of Penitents. Now why would MSNBC highlight such a picture on it's Facebook homepage without some sort of explanation as to what it actually is. What would have been your first reaction to seeing this kind of picture?

Chris Matthews unhinged over Ted Kennedy death

I know that that's not uncommon for him because he's like that most of the time but this morning Chris Matthews took the opportunity of the passing of Mary Jo Kopechnes' killer, Ted Kennedy, to rail against opponents of Obama. He claims that the mood of the country now is the same as it was towards JFK in 1963, implying that those who are against Obama are just like JFK's assassin, who was a far-out lunatic fringe leftist.

I have to be honest that I am not saddened by the passing of Ted Kennedy. I felt that he was a complete disgrace by his total lack of remorse or shame for causing the death of Mary Jo Kopechne in 1969. Exposing CNN's hypocrisy on using Nazi imagery

CNN's Rick "Hit & Run" Sanchez did a report the other day about the use of Nazi symbols on signs and placards by protesters of Obama's health care reform plan. As a matter of fact he admitted that he was actually scolded by Nancy Pelosi staffers for not backing up her claim that swastikas were seen at town hall events. So Rick Sanchez, being the good little shill that he is for the liberal Democrat party, put together this report that backs up Pelosi's claim that protesters to ObamaCare are just a bunch of "un-American" Nazis:


Now in my opinion it is total hypocrisy for CNN to be lecturing anybody about the practice of using Nazi symbolism when just last year they had this photo posted on their own web page the day after Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin gave her acceptance speech at the 2008 Republican National Convention:

Talk about the use of heavy subliminal Nazi imagery. Notice how the CNN photographer was able to position himself in such a way that the barrier in front of the podium looks just like an "S" from Hitler's Schutzstaffel. And do you also notice how Sarah Palin's wave looks like a "Heil Hitler" salute. So who is it Mr. Sanchez that started to the use of Nazi imagery first?

I honestly don't consider myself to be a "conspiracy nut" or a "crackpot", but the similarities to Nazism in that CNN photo just stood out to me when I first saw that picture.

Welcome to the political version of "Green Acres". In this re-make of a classic television show Michelle Obama plants tasty vegetables in the White House lawn and President Obama plants his own questions in a White House press conference.

Reports are starting to come out that President Obama planted a question yesterday during his White House press conference by calling upon Nico Pitney of the Huffington Post with a question about the Iranian elections. Here's how the whole staged event went down.

Dana Milbank of the Washington Post was not the least bit happy about this attempt of staged phoniness:

After the obligatory first question from the Associated Press, Obama treated the overflowing White House briefing room to a surprise. “I know Nico Pitney is here from the Huffington Post,” he announced.

Obama knew this because White House aides had called Pitney the day before to invite him, and they had escorted him into the room. They told him the president was likely to call on him, with the understanding that he would ask a question about Iran that had been submitted online by an Iranian. “I know that there may actually be questions from people in Iran who are communicating through the Internet,” Obama went on. “Do you have a question?”

Pitney recognized his prompt. “That’s right,” he said, standing in the aisle and wearing a temporary White House press pass. “I wanted to use this opportunity to ask you a question directly from an Iranian.”

Pitney asked his arranged question. Reporters looked at one another in amazement at the stagecraft they were witnessing. White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel grinned at the surprised TV correspondents in the first row.

The use of planted questioners is a no-no at presidential news conferences, because it sends a message to the world — Iran included — that the American press isn’t as free as advertised. But yesterday wasn’t so much a news conference as it was a taping of a new daytime drama, “The Obama Show.”

Will the White House press corps ever get tired of being used like this? They have been used as a weapon to silence those who try to oppose Obama's will, and now they have been used as a venue to plant phony questions. When will they realize that Obama has no respect for them and put down there pom-poms and megaphones and pick up there pads and pens? Take off there cheer leading outfits and put on there coats and ties and get back to the work of serious journalism?
