Israel takes out the trash ... 12/31/08

Israel Air Forces launches a pinpoint strike against Grad missile launchers. These missiles were destined for Israeli civilians.

The Israeli Air Force destroys Hamas smuggling tunnels in Gaza as part of operation Cast Lead. Secondary explosions attest to the presence of weapons in the smuggling tunnels, and the houses in the vicinity reveal a willingness to use innocent Palestinians as human shields.

Roland Burris (D-IL) on tape: "non-qualified white boys"

Talk about a political party that is so obsessed with race. Back in 1998 Roland Burris was caught on video tape calling his Caucasian opponents in a primary race a bunch of "non-qualified white boys". Then during yesterdays news conference where Blago announced Burris as his pick to fill Obama's Senate seat, the terms "hanging" and "lynching" were used by Bobby Rush, the one-time leader of the militant, anti-white, hate organization, The Black Panther Party. As a side, Bobby Rush also accused Obama of not being black enough when he ran against him for Congress in 2000.

All of this begs the question: Are the Democrats really the ones to show us the way when it comes to living in racial harmony?

Lowlights of yesterdays news conference:

Israel takes out the trash

For all you bleeding heart liberals out there, the trash I refer too are the Hamas terrorists that have been launching rocket attacks into Israel, not the innocent civilians who are being killed in Gaza. But let's face it, if the Hamas cowards didn't do all it's fighting behind the skirts of women and little children, then maybe there would be a lot less civilian casualties.

President Bush loves the troops, and the troops love him

There is some silly, typical CNN attack President Bush poll out there that says that 75% of it's respondents will be glad to see President Bush leave the White House. I wish they would poll the men and women of the United States military. I'm sure they would find a near 90% opposing view of their poll question.

As a 24-year veteran of the U.S. Navy let me just say Thank You President Bush. You have been one of the very best Presidents and Commander-in-Chief to the men and women of the our military. We love and support you, and will miss you terribly. God bless you and keep you.

Darth Cheney reveals top Democrats approved warrantless wiretaps

Fox News Sunday was honored with the presence of the "Dark Side" himself. During his Q&A he revealed how top Democrat leaders were informed, and they completely agreed and whole-heartily supported the Bush administrations warrantless wiretapping program. That is until the traitorous New York Times outed the secret and then these same top Democrats cried foul and then professed their complete ignorance of any of these shenanigans going on.

I find this to be such a humorous and timely story. I'll never forget how the Dems were just so much up in arms over this revelation that President Bush was engaging in domestic spying, and how it was such a crime against civil rights, and that he should be impeached and put in jail for the rest of his life. Now it turns out that the son of the most iconic civil rights leaders in our nations history, Jesse Jackson Jr., is a professed domestic spy himself.

Is YouTube protecting Obama's ass?

Is there any connection between Obama and Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich? The surest way to make me feel that some sort of crime has been committed is the appearance of a cover-up. YouTube yesterday had a video up on their website of Barack Obama's senior advisor David Axelrod appearing on FOX News's Chicago affiliate. During that Nov. 23rd interview Axelrod made the following statement:

"I know he's talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them."

Barack Obama yesterday came out with the following statement:

"I had no contact with the governor or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening."

Hmmmmm?

Well now guess what? The David Axelrod interview is now totally gone from the YouTube website. If you try to click on it from any website that had it embedded into their post, you now get a "Video no longer available" message.

Hmmmmm?

Guess what again? Team O has come out and spanked Axelrod as being wrong about what he said and has forced Axelrod to come out and say he mis-spoke.

Hmmmmm?

I smell a cover-up in the making.

Even though the YouTube video may be gone, you can still view Axelrod's comment on this video over at EyeBlast TV.

Obama: Never mind all that stuff I said about Iraqi troop withdrawls

According to the New York Times, Barack Obama is now fudging on all his promises to his anti-war left voters about withdrawing troops from Iraq.

WASHINGTON — On the campaign trail, Senator Barack Obama offered a pledge that electrified and motivated his liberal base, vowing to “end the war” in Iraq.

But as he moves closer to the White House, President-elect Obama is making clearer than ever that tens of thousands of American troops will be left behind in Iraq, even if he can make good on his campaign promise to pull all combat forces out within 16 months.
-New York Times

I don't understand this distinction that the New York Times, and Barack Obama, is trying to make that the 16,000 troops that are pulled out of Iraq are "combat troops" and that the 30 to 50,000 troops that are left behind are non-combat troops? All members of the military that are serving over in Iraq (plus Germany, Japan, and South Korea) are trained to fight. What are they going to do if trouble breaks out around them? Go run and hide somewhere and let the Iraqi military protect them or wait until the "combat troops" fly back in? I've got an idea. Go tell any Marine or Army soldier that's left behind in Iraq that he or she is not a "combat troop", but just a "residual force".

Exposing Al Gore's global warming hoax ... pt. 3

More than 10,500 wackos are gathering together in Poland this week for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Their goal of course is to reduce the amount of carbon that is being emitted into the atmosphere. The only problem is that their convention is estimated to be pumping more than 13,000 tons of additional carbon into the air (not to mention all the pollution and trash they always leave behind) than what is normal. Wouldn't they be doing less harm to the precious environment by just staying home and having a video teleconference?

All the lonely people, where do they all belong ?

Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people

Eric Holder: GITMO detainees not entitled to Geneva POW protections

The incoming Attorney General stated in a 2002 interview that terrorists held down in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba were not prisoners of war and therefore were not entitled to the protections of the Geneva War Conventions.

It seems to me that given the way in which they have conducted themselves, however, that they are not, in fact, people entitled to the protection of the Geneva Convention. They are not prisoners of war. If, for instance, Mohammed Atta had survived the attack on the World Trade Center, would we now be calling him a prisoner of war? I think not. Should Zacarias Moussaoui be called a prisoner of war? Again, I think not.

And yet, I understand what Secretary Powell is concerned about, and that is we’re going to be fighting this war with people who are special forces, not people who are generally in uniform. And if unfortunately they somehow become detained, we would want them to be treated in an appropriate way consistent with the Geneva Convention.

A Soldiers Christmas poem

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.
Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.

The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.
My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.
In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the
sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.
My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near.

Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.
A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,
Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

'What are you doing?' I asked without fear,
'Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,
You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!'
For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts.

To the window that danced with a warm fire's light
Then he sighed and he said 'Its really all right,
I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night.'
'It's my duty to stand at the front of the line,
That separates you from the darkest of times.

No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.
My Gramps died at ' Pearl on a day in December,'
Then he sighed, 'That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers.'
My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ' Nam ',
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.

I've not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile.
Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red, white, and blue... an American flag.
I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home.

I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.
I can carry the weight of killing another,
Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..
Who stand at the front against any and all,
To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.'

' So go back inside,' he said, 'harbor no fright,
Your family is waiting and I'll be all right.'
'But isn't there something I can do, at the least,
'Give you money,' I asked, 'or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you've done,
For being away from your wife and your son.'

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
'Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.
For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us.'

There's no better way to celebrate a victory over AQ then by taking out another one of their senior scumbags.
