Sprechen ze Deutsche?

I cannot begin to tell you how embarrased I am that this "ugly American" goes to Germany and delivers a speech in Berlin in English. Isn't this the man who said he was embarresed of Americans who go to Europe and all they can say is "merci beaucoup"?

"You know, it's embarrassing, it's embarrassing when -- when, uh, Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe, and all we can say is, "Merci beaucoup."



If he were a man who practices what he preaches he should have given the same speech again in German.
