The party of George Wallace blocks black man from Senate floor

Not much has changed in the Democrat party since 1963. Just like George Wallace before him, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) blocks Roland Burris from entering the Senate floor to claim his lawful Senate seat.

I find it extremely amusing to watch one Democrat call the actions of another Democrat illegitimate. Has this ever happened before? And can you imagine the press reports of this story if the Senate were controlled by Republicans, and it was the Republicans that would have turned a black man away from the Senate floor.

Reid pressured Blagojevich not to appoint Jackson Jr. to Obama’s U.S. Senate seat (Chicago Sun Times)

Is this Sen. Harry Reid's (D-NV) idea of the Senate?

@ Chuck ... the article certainly suggest to me that Burris did pay for the seat then.
