The Democrat party has got to be the only party in the world that has to have at least three or four back-up nominees to stand in line behind the primary nominee because the primary nominee is tainted with some illegality issue. Now it's Tom Daschle (D-SD) who is President Obama's choice to head Health and Human Services. Mr. Daschle had to pay $101,000 in back taxes for usage of a free car and driver service over a three year period, $15,000 in fraudulent charity donations over a three year period, and $83,333 in direct income for 2007.

Apparently the media thought he was only signing one order and was turning out the lights and getting ready to pack up and leave before they were told that there was more to come. President Obama even sounds a little lost in trying to explain to the press what it is he's signing.

President Obama & White House press marriage off to a rocky start

CBS's Bill Plante expressed his frustration with how the swearing in re-do was handled, and his displeasure that ABC News (who contributed tons of money to sponsor the Neighborhood Inauguration Ball) was given the only Inauguration Day interview with President Obama. Bill Plante actually suggested that that smelled of "pay-to-play". In another testy moment of the day President Obama expressed his displeasure at being asked about his Deputy Defense Secretary nominee, William J. Lynn, III, while paying a surprise visit to the White House press corps.

Some member of George Clinton's band holds up a white towel that reads "F**K George" at a Heroes Red, White, and Blue Inaugural Ball for military veterans. Several wounded veterans take offense and walk out.

An inaugural ball honoring U.S. military veterans ended in a kerfluffle as several veterans walked out when a musical act's attempt at humor backfired.

During the Heroes Red, White & Blue Inaugural Ball honoring the nation's veterans, a vocalist with George Clinton and the P. Funk All-Stars held up a white towel with large block letters saying "[Expletive] GEORGE," perturbing many audience members who walked out after the display, interpreting it as a jab at the outgoing commander-in-chief, George W. Bush.

A spokeswoman for the ball's organizers said the sign was inappropriate.

"Obviously we and the Heroes Ball coordinators were unaware that the sign existed and did not support their actions, especially considering our non-partisan mission and treasured military audience," said ball spokeswoman Carrie Foster.

But a spokesman for the band, the final act to perform, said the sign was intended to poke fun at their leader, who shares the same first name as Bush.

"George's guys always have always had a thing about the four-letter-word," said band spokesman Sandy Friedman. "It was directed to George Clinton. There was no last name, it was to George, the leader of the band."

Friedman said people had been walking out on various acts throughout the evening and that there was no noticeable mass exodus after the sign was unveiled. However, one fellow band member seemed to notice people walking out and quickly ripped the sign down.

The audience at the Warner Theater in downtown D.C. included wounded young veterans wearing slings, walking with canes and nursing other visible wounds. Some 300 military service men and women from Walter Reed Hospital and their families were invited. The sweat-pants and bandana sporting members of the funk band were in sharp contrast with the sparkling ball gowns, tuxedos and sharp military uniforms.

The towel incident was a hiccup in an otherwise smooth and glamorous evening. Guests on hand to thank the veterans included Larry King, Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and USO President Elaine Rodgers.

President George W. Bush got absolutely no respect at all from the liberal left on both ends of his Presidency. He was greeted by the liberal left when he arrived to Washington D.C. with destruction of White House property by the Clinton staff, and theft of White House furniture by the Clinton's themselves. On his way out he's treated to mocks and jeers. Does the liberal left give us on the right any reason to treat President Obama with any measure of respect and civility?

He may not have been everything a conservative would have wanted in a President, but for a leader who took the fight to the enemy, kept us safe, and strengthened our national security, he was more than you could ask for. Another busted Democrat

Not to be outdone by Chicago and Detroit, the city of Baltimore, MD. has put in it's candidate for most corrupt Democrat controlled city and/or state. Mayor Sheila Dixon (D-Baltimore, MD) is charged with 12 counts of felony theft, perjury, fraud and misconduct in office.

Here's a brief rundown of her alleged criminal activities from the Baltimore Sun:

The case stems in part from at least $15,348 in gifts Dixon allegedly received from her former boyfriend, prominent city developer Ronald H. Lipscomb, while she was City Council president. She also is accused of using as much as $3,400 in gift cards, some donated to her office for distribution to "needy families," to purchase Best Buy electronics and other items for herself and her staff.

Here, the Baltimore Sun puts in a blurb about Mayor Dixon's (D-Baltimore, MD) accomplishments while in office:

The investigation has hung over Dixon, a Democrat, even as she became the city's first female mayor and oversaw a significant decrease in the city's homicide rate, reducing killings to a 20-year low. Viewed as an energetic and charismatic leader, she has earned praise from residents for implementing an easy-to-use recycling program and displaying a willingness to tackle the city's systemic racial and economic disparities.

Now c'mon folks. Don't you feel that that's worth something a little extra on top of her measly mayor's salary? You don't expect her to accomplish all that with just what the city of Baltimore pays her, do you? I have a feeling that this is nothing more than just a racist and sexist charge.

Judge Wood was discovered to have committed no crime in her hiring of an illegal immigrant, but she decided to withdraw her nomination in order to not stir up the illegal alien controversy again.
