Glenn Beck picks apart Obama's 2001 radio interview

Listen to the TRUTH of what Obama is saying during his "redistribution of wealth" radio interview that he gave in 2001.

Pt. 1

Pt. 2

It's not too late people. Obama hasn't been elected to anything yet. You still have seven (7) days (Nov. 4) to stop this man from turning our country, and our courts, and our Constitution inside out.

Obama is scary....smart.

You could tell that from those seven-year old remarks Sen. Barack Obama made during a panel discussion carried on Chicago's local public radio show which wound up on the Drudge Report.

My first reaction to the interview was that I wished I had attended law school after all.

While some people focused, for obvious reasons, on Obama's comments about "redistributive change," what really hit me was how well his mind works. Obama clearly was comfortable discussing key concepts in the judiciary's evolution on civil rights and economic justice issues....not that he could see the Supreme Court from his front lawn.

What I don't understand is why this interview is interesting enough to be headlining Drudge? Beyond the fact that Drudge's headline suggests, wrongly, that Obama states that the Supreme Court should have ordered the redistribution of income;

Obama is promising a politics that does not scorch the earth and scar the soul. McCain and Palin tried to build fences, looking for safe ground; Obama bulldozed them, in the search for common ground. "Despite what our opponents may claim, there are no real and fake parts of this country," Obama said. "We are one nation, all of us proud, all of us patriots. There are patriots who supported this war in Iraq and patriots who opposed it; patriots who believe in Democratic policies and those who believe in Republican policies. The men and women who serve in our battlefields may be Democrats and Republicans and Independents, but they have fought together and bled together and some died together under the same proud flag. They have not served a Red America or a Blue America — they have served the United States of America."

Christopher Buckley had it right. Whatever you think of Obama's politics, he has a first-rate intellect. He is scary smart.

@ Anonymous ... you may think of Obama as scary smart, but i think of Obama as scary dangerous. i also think Marx and Lenin were scary dangerous. Obama, Marx, and Lenin all share the same utopian goal of equality through the redistribution of wealth. this idea has utterly failed everywhere in the world where it has been attempted. one other thing, Obama may not be half as smart as you give him credit for. there is a huge suspicioun out there that he may not have even written his own autobiography.
