Cash 4 Clunkers debated

OK, I'm a little confused here. Alexis Glick of FOX News Business Channel admits that she likes and agrees with the "Cash 4 Clunkers" program but yet has nothing good to say about it. I honestly didn't here one positive aspect of this program from her, except that she thinks it generates some false stimulus amongst consumers.

Here is the "Cash 4 Clunkers" program explained in easy to understand terms for people like me.

Tax-cheat to Middle America: Your not paying enough taxes

"Remember we inherited a 1 point three trillion dollar deficit. The cumulative consequences of the policies this country pursued over the last 8 years left us with 6 million dollars of more debt than we would have had by making a bunch of commitments to cut taxes and add to spending without paying for those."
- Tim Geithner

The world's most infamous tax-cheat, Timothy Geithner, went on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos to complain, bitch, and moan that the tax-cut that you and I were given by President Bush is to blame for our huge budget deficit. Forget the fact that Geithner gave himself a four year 0% personal tax cut during the Bush years. No, he's not to blame for this trillion $$$ deficit. We're in this mess because even though you and I did pay our taxes, we just didn't pay enough of them. What gall! Here's a man lecturing the middle-class on paying taxes while he was pocketing a check given to him by his employer to pay his taxes. This man has no business carrying a wallet in his own back pocket, let alone running the Treasury Department. Geithner is as qualified to lecture us on paying taxes as Hugh Hefner has on teaching the virtues of celibacy.

A damning indictment of the Utopian Canadian health care system

Pajama Media's Steven Crowder travels back home to Canada to go undercover and expose the truth of that Utopian Canadian health care system that Michael Moore and President Obama want to bring to America. The video is 20 minutes long, but well worth the time to watch and educate yourself on what's in store for you and me if Obama and the Democrats get there way on implementing socialized health care.

Joe Biden admits that Obama's stimulus has failed

For the second time in less then a month Vice-President Joe Biden admits to misjudging the severity of the economy and that the Obama stimulus package that he's in charge of administering isn't working. And of course he has to throw in the habitual "blame Bush" defense. Judging from this interview it sounds like he and Obama plan to go back to what hasn't worked already ... throw more money at it.

Video: Brilliant demonstration of Obama's failed stimulus plan

All those astronomical numbers that President Obama is throwing out there about all the jobs that will be "saved or created" by his economic stimulus package. I think just a couple of days ago he mentioned something like 600,000 jobs by the end of the summer. Yea right!

Those wonderful people over at Political Math who showed us about a month ago what Obama's proposed budget cuts would actually look like compared to his actual spending have come up with another brilliant video. This video shows just how many jobs have been lost since President Obama signed his historic stimulus package into law back in February.

Just how sycophantic can the media be when reporting the Obama economy?

I have seen it my entire life. When Republicans are in the White House, the country is always teetering on the edge of an economic collapse despite the news of stable and/or improving conditions. Every piece of good economic news is always dampened with some sort of qualifier in order to make you feel on edge. During the entire eight years of President Bush every piece of good economic news was always dampened down by the media with their "yea, the economic news is good, BUT..." line. Not so when Democrats (and particularly President Obama) are in the White House. We've got nothing but bad economic news since Obama was sworn in, but according to the liberal mainstream media, it's nothing but gumdrops and lollipops, incense and peppermints, and unicorns prancing in the fields.

Ed Frank, of Frank Strategies: The Blog, has noticed it also. He's put together a terrific video documenting this phenomenon which you need to see.

Pelosi lied, jobs died ... unemployment rate hits 8.9%

And that's not all she's lying about either. OK, just a reminder of what Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, said back in February about how every day that the Obama stimulus package went by without being approved that 500,000,000 jobs in America would be lost. Well, the Labour Department released it's newest unemployment figures today and it's reporting that employers have cut another 539,000 U.S. jobs, raising the unemployment figure up to 8.9%. That's the highest since 1983.

Now I'm well aware that Ms. Pelosi made a huge gaffe (what else is new) by saying 500 million jobs when she meant to say 500 thousand jobs. Point is, we are now into the third month of Obama's stimulus package being passed and we're still losing more then 500k jobs a month, which proves that Obama's policies have done nothing to reverse job losses as Ms. Pelosi claimed they would.

Putting Obama's "$100,000,000 budget cut" in perspective

This video explains Obama's meaningless proposal of slashing $100,000,000 from his budget in such easy terms that even a far-left liberal wacko could understand it.

Just how concerned is the Obama administration about our economy?

Judging by these pictures I would say not very much.

Obama's chief economic advisor Larry Summers decides that it's nappy time while Obama is making his opening remarks during yesterdays meeting with credit card executives. Now don't you feel comforted that people like this are in charge of our economic future?

Pelosi lied, jobs died

Remember when Nancy Pelosi claimed that every month that Obama's stimulus bill was not enacted into law 500,000,000 American jobs would be lost. Here, let me refresh your memory:

OK, she meant to say 500,000. So her point was that 500,000 jobs would be lost each month if Obama's stimulus plan wasn't acted upon. So right after the President's Day holiday in February, Obama signed his stimulus bill into law. So that should have meant that job losses should stop, or at least slow, or at least be less then 500,000. Right? WRONG! According to ADP, the private sector slashed 742,000 jobs in March. Plus, economists are expecting the Labour Department to announce that the unemployment rate will rise to 8.5% on Friday.

Private sector cuts 742,000 jobs in March, ADP says (MarketWatch)

Now I perfectly expect Ms. Pelosi to claim that she meant 500,000,000 the whole time and that a loss of only 742,000 jobs is a huge success for Obama's stimulus bill. She'll actually claim that Obama saved 499,258,000 jobs. You watch and see.

Daniel Hannan on MSNBC

Daniel Hannan is preaching a message to halt this runaway spending while President Obama is heading to London right now with a message to the G20 to increase global spending. Perhaps these two can bump into each other and Mr. Hannan can get an opportunity to open President Obama's eyes a little.

Liberal artist's Obama car to be repossessed

After being fired from her job last year Jennifer Stone-Anderson decided that the best way to earn meaningful income was to paint her whole car into some giant testimonial to Barack Obama rather then going out and looking for a real job. I guess she bought into the hype of "Hope and Change" and figured that Obama would buy her gas and pay her mortgage too, or in her case, pay her car note. Well it turns out for Ms. Stone-Anderson that realities a bitch and so because she hasn't made her car payment for the last three months Chrysler has notified her that her car is to be repossessed.
