Smarter than Bush? ... 08/19/09

The most brilliant and messianic President isn't any good at even simple arithmetic. At a recent town hall meeting in Montana Obama claimed that this country has lost more then 700 jobs a month since he became President. The truth is that this country has lost anywhere between 500,000 to 600,000 jobs each month since he was sworn in. If he can't even get that simple fact straight then why should we believe him when it comes to the numbers he claims that are currently uninsured.

“Just six months ago, we were in the middle of the worst recession in our lifetimes. We were losing about 700 jobs each month.”

One other thing ... does that quote suggest that President Obama is saying that the recession is over? He's talking about the recession in past tense terms.
