"Above my paygrade"

I have one question for you Mr. "Uh"-Bama. If making decisions as to when life begins are above your paygrade, then what gives you the right to weigh in on issues about abortion? In my job and when I was in the Navy I have never been asked to sit in on meetings or discussions of items that were above my paygrade.
